Say "silent disco headsets" to most people and they'll picture a dance floor full of glowing headphones and people singing along to songs nobody else can hear. Fair enough — that's where the idea started. But as an event production company, we've watched the same kit quietly become one of the most useful problem-solvers in our corporate events toolkit too, for reasons that have nothing to do with dancing.
How the system actually works
The concept is simple. Our great-sounding wireless headsets are fully rechargeable — no batteries required — and offer up to 3 channels of audio. Each channel has its own wireless transmitter unit, and once that's connected to an audio source, it broadcasts straight to the headsets on that channel. Every headset has a colour LED on the side, so it's instantly obvious which of the 3 channels it's currently tuned to — useful for you, useful for delegates, and useful for anyone managing the room.
They work up to a range of 500m with a clear line of sight, so reach is rarely the limiting factor even in large venues, marquees or outdoor spaces. Volume and channel selection are both handled with simple buttons on either side of the unit, and despite being wireless, they still deliver a rich, full sound with proper bass when you need it — not the tinny, thin audio you might expect from a headset system.
Why it works so well for corporate events
Once you've got three independent audio channels in one room, a lot of common event headaches quietly disappear. Running a conference with a simultaneous interpretation feed? Put it on channel two. Splitting delegates into breakout groups without the budget or floor space for separate rooms? Give each facilitator a channel and let people switch between them. Hosting an evening event in a venue with a strict noise curfew? The music can run at full energy for everyone wearing a headset, with nothing escaping into the car park.
It's also a genuinely different guest experience. LED headsets glowing across a room photograph brilliantly, and there's a novelty to a "silent" event that gets people talking about it afterwards — which is exactly what you want from a Christmas party, summer social or awards night.
Three channels. One room. No compromise on audio quality.
Sustainable by design
Because every headset is fully rechargeable, there are no disposable batteries to buy, lose or bin after the event. The same fleet gets hired out for hundreds of events over its working life, which stacks up to a much lighter footprint than single-use AV kit — worth knowing if sustainability reporting is part of your event brief.
Support, if you want it
If you'd rather not add "headset technician" to your team's job list on the day, we can send an on-site technician to set up and test the transmitters, lay the headsets out around your venue, recharge them at the end of each day if it's a multi-day event, and help with any extras you've booked from us, such as presenter microphones. Most teams manage setup themselves in 15–20 minutes with our how-to guide, but it's there if you'd rather hand it off.
If any of this sounds like it might solve a headache you're currently having, get in touch — we deliver and collect across England, and we're always happy to talk through the specifics of your event.
